On 14th February 2025, the Journey of Hope event in Sydney left an indelible mark on all those who attended. Held at the Mercure Hotel Liverpool, the evening was a heart warming celebration of unity, inspiration, and a shared commitment to supporting the education of underprivileged children.

The event brought together prominent figures from various backgrounds, all coming together with a common purpose. The Chief Guest, Senator David Shoebridge, took the stage to praise the ongoing efforts of the Shahid Afridi Foundation Australia (SAF). He urged everyone present to continue supporting this vital cause. Pakistan’s Consul General, Mr. Qamar Zaman, also expressed his appreciation for the initiative, while Member of Parliament, Mr. Nathan Hagarty MP, reinforced his strong backing for the mission to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children.

One of the evening’s highlights was the auction of sports items signed by renowned athletes. These items added a sense of excitement and generosity to the event, with attendees bidding eagerly to contribute to the cause. The event was a perfect blend of inspiration and entertainment, culminating in a side-splitting stand-up comedy performance by Nazeem Hussain. His humor left everyone in high spirits, closing the evening on a lighthearted note.
