Empowering Punjabi-Speaking Families: Victoria’s Free Kinder Program 2024
In a multicultural society like Victoria, fostering educational opportunities for diverse communities is paramount. The Victorian Education Department’s Free Kinder Program 2024 is one such landmark initiative designed to provide free access to high-quality kindergarten programs for all Victorian children.
Free Kinder is available in Three- and Four-Year-Old Kinder programs at participating services across Victoria. This includes both long day care and standalone (which is also called sessional) kinder services.
Approved Kinder services receive funding directly from the Victorian Government. This means families do not have to claim the savings back, instead your fees will be reduced at the time of pay.
Free Kinder aims to make quality early childhood education accessible to all children, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds. It’s a step toward building a stronger, more inclusive community
The program provides information in 30 languages about kindergarten in Victoria, including what children experience in kindergarten programs. In-Language Videos have been created to explain the benefits of kinder and help CALD families with enrolment.
