Her career gained traction after she appeared as a contestant on the Indian reality show Rising Star in 2017, where her powerful voice and deep understanding of classical music impressed audiences nationwide. Although she finished as the first runner-up, her performances on the show helped her gain a dedicated fan base and increased her visibility across India.
Following her success on television, Maithili started sharing her music on social media platforms, especially YouTube and Facebook, where she and her family perform together. Her brothers, Rishav and Ayachi, often accompany her on tabla and harmonium, creating a unique family dynamic in their performances.
