Unlike earlier tournaments where the top-eight ranked ODI sides were automatically included, the qualification for the 2025 edition was based on the 2023 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup standings. The top eight teams from that event secured their spots in the Champions Trophy, with hosts Pakistan automatically qualifying.
Groups
- Group A: Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, New Zealand
- Group B: Australia, Afghanistan, England, South Africa
