The NSW Government is delivering a brand-new co-educational high school in Liverpool, merging Liverpool Boys and Girls High Schools into a state-of-the-art campus for up to 2,000 students.
Located within Liverpool’s emerging Health and Education Precinct, the school is part of a $3.5 billion investment in Western Sydney’s education infrastructure. It will feature modern teaching spaces, specialist facilities, and a new library, offering expanded subject choices and pathways into health and higher education.

Extensive community consultation found strong support for co-education, with 56% of surveyed future high school parents preferring the model. In recognition of diverse student needs, the school will also offer single-sex-focused classes and activities.
The NSW Government has now unveiled concept designs, developed with input from school leadership, architects, and the community. The new high school will be adjacent to Gulyangarri Public School, which opened in 2024, reinforcing Liverpool’s growing reputation as an education hub.

A community information session will be held on 13 March 2025 (3pm-6pm) at Liverpool Boys and Girls High Schools’ library, where families can meet the project team, ask questions, and provide feedback.
Deputy Premier and Minister for Education and Early Learning, Prue Car:
“This investment ensures Liverpool families have access to world-class public education, with expanded learning and career opportunities for students.”
Member for Liverpool, Charishma Kaliyanda:
“With a new public school, preschool, TAFE, and universities coming to Liverpool, we are creating a true ‘cradle-to-PhD’ education precinct. I encourage families to attend the information session and be part of this exciting transformation.”

The NSW Department of Education will continue to update the community as the project progresses.
