Super Sikhs Sports and Cultural marked a major milestone in style, celebrating their 15th anniversary with an unforgettable performance at the 2025 Australian Sikh Games, held from April 18–20 in Sydney. Competing against thousands of athletes, the club’s teams and individuals delivered a standout showing, collecting multiple championship titles and podium finishes across a range of sports.

With 15 teams and dozens of individual athletes competing, Super Sikhs proudly returned home with the following honours:
- Division 1 Women’s Basketball – Champions
- Division 2 Women’s Basketball – Champions
- Under 16 Boys Basketball – Champions
- Under 12 Mixed Basketball – Champions
- Open Women’s Volleyball – Champions
- Men’s Volleyball Division 1 – 3rd Place
- Powerlifting – Mahima Bedi (63kg Women’s Champion)
These achievements are more than medals — they represent 15 years of passion, hard work, and a deep commitment to community-building through sport.

“Fifteen years ago, we set out to build more than just teams — we set out to build a home for talent to be discovered, supported, and celebrated,” said Dr. Balraj Ougra, Super Sikhs spokesperson. “These results are a reflection of the culture we’ve built. It’s a celebration of our players, our volunteers, our families — everyone who makes this club what it is.”

A Vision Beyond the Games
Founded in 2010, Super Sikhs Sports and Cultural began with a powerful vision: to create a platform where athletes, particularly from South Asian backgrounds, could find support and opportunity — not just in sport, but in life.

While the Australian Sikh Games are a key annual highlight, the club’s impact goes far beyond a single tournament. Super Sikhs runs structured training and development programs year-round, with a focus on skill-building, leadership, and inclusivity — especially in supporting young athletes and increasing female participation in sport.

Today, the club supports over 250 athletes annually across Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, and Touch Football. With more than 20 state and national representatives emerging from the program so far, the next goal is bold but clear: to see a South Asian Australian athlete step onto the Olympic stage at the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
Community First, Always
Super Sikhs’ strength lies not only in its athletes but in its community — a network of coaches, families, volunteers, and sponsors that continues to fuel its success. The club extended its heartfelt thanks to its sponsors — Proptima, Creatr Films, Cheema Hire, and Back Space Chiropractic — for their invaluable support in helping nurture the next generation of champions.

The 2025 Australian Sikh Games once again drew record participation, with over 7,000 athletes and 400+ teams from across the country and beyond gathering in Sydney to celebrate culture, connection, and the unifying power of sport.
As Super Sikhs looks to the future, the club remains firmly committed to its founding mission: to lead, inspire, and grow a stronger South Asian sporting community in NSW and beyond — one game, one athlete, and one dream at a time.
