The Pataka Diwali Hume Community Celebration is a shining example of how a small idea can grow into a vibrant tradition of unity and joy. What began in 2018 with just 10–15 like-minded families has now blossomed into a gathering of over 30–40 families, all coming together each year to celebrate Diwali, share happiness, and strengthen community bonds.

This event is unique because every family is both a participant and an organizer. From arranging catering to coordinating entertainment and décor, every aspect of the celebration is managed collectively by the group members themselves. Their teamwork and spirit of collaboration truly reflect the essence of Diwali-spreading light, love, and togetherness.

The celebration has been beautifully organized and coordinated by Rohit Prabhakar, Saurabh Poddar, Manan Chawla, Siddharth Roy, and Neha Roy, whose efforts continue to inspire and unite the community year after year.

As the event continues to grow, the group remains committed to celebrating Diwali and other festivals that bring families closer, strengthen friendships, and promote the multicultural spirit of the Hume community.
