Punjabi singer, poet and cultural icon Satinder Sartaaj recently made a special visit to the world-famous Melbourne Cricket Ground ahead of his much-anticipated concerts in Melbourne as part of his Heritage Tour 2026.

The celebrated artist shared glimpses of his visit on social media, where he was seen exploring the historic stadium and proudly holding the ICC Cricket World Cup trophy. Calling it a “privileged & memorable moment,” Sartaaj expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality he received during the media event hosted at the iconic venue.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest cricket stadiums in the world, the MCG holds a special place in the hearts of sports fans across Australia and the South Asian community. The visit comes just days before Sartaaj’s highly anticipated performances at Rod Laver Arena on 16 and 17 May, where thousands of fans are expected to gather for an evening of soulful poetry, Sufi melodies and Punjabi heritage. Due to overwhelming demand, an additional Melbourne show was also announced for the tour.
