The musical campaign for Udta Teer has officially begun with the release of “Bhootni Ka”, a lively and unconventional track featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan and the film’s ensemble cast.
Following the release of its trailer, the upcoming Hindi film has now offered audiences their first glimpse of its musical world. “Bhootni Ka” carries forward the unpredictable and humorous tone introduced in the trailer, using energetic music, rapidly changing rhythms and playful lyrics to complement the film’s unusual characters and situations.
The track has been composed by Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and vocals from Kaka, Twinkle Agrrwal and Bhattacharya. The combination creates a fast-moving number designed around shifting moods and unexpected musical turns, matching the comic flavour associated with Udta Teer.
The song brings together several members of the film’s cast in a colourful musical sequence. Alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan, Rahul Bose, Mukul Dev, Gulshan Grover, Ram Kapoor and other cast members feature in the number, adding to its ensemble-driven presentation.
For Sachin-Jigar, creating “Bhootni Ka” involved finding a balance between unpredictability and a melody that remained accessible to listeners. The composers explained that Bhattacharya’s lyrics repeatedly change direction, prompting them to experiment with pace, sounds and arrangement so the music could mirror that sense of surprise.
The result is a track that deliberately avoids settling into one predictable rhythm. Its quick lyrical passages and changes in musical pace are intended to keep listeners engaged while reflecting the comic confusion at the heart of the film’s promotional material.
Singer Kaka also revealed that the song itself left him curious about the story behind Udta Teer. The unusual lyrics and energetic sound made him wonder what was happening within the film’s narrative, with the trailer only adding to that curiosity.
Twinkle Agrrwal similarly described the recording as an energetic experience, particularly because of the amount of information packed into the lyrics. She highlighted the need to maintain the song’s momentum while ensuring that the words remained clear, with Kaka’s energy adding another layer to the performance.
“Bhootni Ka” arrives as the first major musical release from Udta Teer, following the film’s trailer and its introduction to a cast of eccentric characters and unpredictable situations. The track is now giving audiences another indication of the film’s deliberately playful approach.
Directed by Aakash Kaushik, Udta Teer stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan and is backed by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 9 October 2026.
