Diwali celebration by Western Community Connect

Western Community Connect, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to promoting seniors’ wellbeing, social inclusion and community connection, is delighted to celebrate the festival of Diwali with seniors, families and the wider community.

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, symbolises hope, happiness, unity and the triumph of light over darkness. This special celebration provides an opportunity for people from diverse cultural backgrounds to come together, share traditions, enjoy cultural performances, and experience the joy of community spirit.

Connect aims to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where seniors can connect with others, build meaningful friendships, celebrate cultural diversity and feel valued as active members of the community.

The celebration will be filled with festive cheer, cultural experiences, music, dance and opportunities for social interaction, fostering a sense of belonging and togetherness.

At Western Community Connect, we believe that staying socially connected is essential for healthy ageing and overall wellbeing. Our Diwali celebration reflects our commitment to bringing people together, reducing social isolation and building a stronger, happier and more connected community.

Together, let us celebrate the light of Diwali, the joy of friendship and the strength of community!
