The International Women’s Day celebration, organised by Women in Business in collaboration with Usana, She Magazine, and BWB, and supported by Rise and Belong Foundation and Harman Foundation, stood as a powerful reminder of what happens when purpose meets community.

From the very beginning, the room carried an undeniable energy – one that reflected ambition, resilience, and a shared vision for progress. It brought together women from diverse walks of life, each contributing to a collective narrative of growth, leadership, and transformation.
At the heart of the evening were The Iconic Woman Awards – a deeply moving segment that recognised women whose journeys are defined not just by success, but by courage, persistence, and purpose. Each story honoured on stage served as a reminder that behind every achievement lies a path of challenges overcome and boundaries redefined.
Co-founders Alpana Srivastava and Tiya Gorain embodied the spirit of the event, creating a platform that goes beyond recognition – one that actively empowers women to step into their potential and lead with confidence. Their vision continues to build a community where women uplift one another, not just in moments of celebration, but in their everyday journeys.

The evening was further enriched by thought-provoking conversations led by Casey Zhang, Harinder Kaur, Smita Sharma, and Shakun Narang. Their insights on leadership, personal growth, and empowerment resonated deeply with the audience, offering both perspective and direction.
Adding a unique dimension to the event was a graceful fashion showcase curated by designer Nisha Chainani of Banca Bling, celebrating individuality and confidence. The event also featured a special book launch by Sukruti Narayanan, her 3rd book titled – “Women who engineered the Foundations of Technology & Modern World”
The event was brought to life on stage by Gunjan Jhamb, whose warmth and presence kept the audience engaged throughout, while photographer Harmohan Walia captured the essence of the celebration through his lens, preserving moments that will be cherished for years to come.

A memorable culinary experience was curated by Sony Sodhi of Delhi Heights Indian Restaurant & Function Centre, adding yet another layer of richness to the event.
Acknowledgements were made to ABC Print for their excellence in certificate production, and to Aircity for ensuring a smooth and efficient ticketing experience for attendees.
Every element of the event reflected thoughtful curation and intent. More than just a celebration, it stood as a powerful statement – of women supporting women, of stories that inspire action, and of a community that believes in lifting each other higher.
As the event concluded, what remained was not just inspiration, but a renewed commitment – to continue building spaces where women are seen, heard, and empowered to lead.
Desi Australia wished the entire team continued success and support for their upcoming events.
