The death of 33-year-old model and actor Twisha Sharma has sparked widespread attention across India, with authorities continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding her passing in Bhopal. The case has generated strong public interest while also prompting conversations around mental wellbeing, family pressures and legal accountability.

Originally from Kolkata, Twisha Sharma built a career in modelling, media appearances and public events before her marriage in late 2025. Friends and followers on social media often described her as ambitious, creative and deeply connected with her family and professional circle.
Following her marriage to Bhopal-based lawyer Samarth Singh in December 2025, Twisha relocated to Madhya Pradesh and began adjusting to a new chapter in her personal life. Family members later stated that she remained in regular contact with loved ones after the move.
On May 12, 2026, Twisha was found dead at her marital home in Bhopal’s Katara Hills area. Initial reports described the case as a suspected suicide, however concerns later raised by her family led authorities to expand investigations and review additional evidence linked to the incident.

The case attracted significant media attention after Twisha’s family publicly alleged harassment and demanded a more detailed inquiry. In response, the Madhya Pradesh High Court ordered a second post-mortem examination by a specialised medical board from AIIMS Delhi to ensure transparency in the investigation process.
As legal proceedings continued, the matter also reached the Supreme Court, which urged restraint in public commentary while investigations remain active. Authorities have stressed that no final conclusions should be drawn until all forensic, legal and investigative procedures are completed.
The Central Bureau of Investigation later became involved in the matter, with investigators continuing to examine evidence, statements and medical findings connected to the case. Courts have meanwhile continued hearing applications and legal submissions from both sides as the investigation progresses.
Across social media and public discussions, many people have expressed sympathy for Twisha Sharma’s family while also calling for a fair and transparent investigation. As the case remains ongoing, attention continues to focus on ensuring due process, sensitivity and respect for everyone involved.
