Excitement is building for India’s upcoming white-ball series in Australia, set to kick off in October 2025. The men in blue will face off against the Aussies in a three-match ODI series—beginning on October 19 in Perth—followed by five T20Is, concluding on November 8 in Brisbane.
Despite the tour being several months away, fan enthusiasm is already peaking. Cricket Australia has confirmed that over 90,000 tickets have been snapped up across the eight scheduled matches, with two fixtures—the third ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground and the opening T20I at Canberra’s Manuka Oval—completely sold out.

“This India-Australia series has sparked massive anticipation, particularly among Indian supporters living in Australia,” Cricket Australia noted in a recent statement. The governing body highlighted that ticket allocations for key venues like Sydney and Canberra were exhausted nearly four months ahead of match day, underscoring the overwhelming demand.
Interest in matches at other venues like the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and The Gabba is also soaring. Following the record attendance witnessed during the Ashes, the current sales trajectory suggests another blockbuster summer of cricket.

A substantial portion of ticket sales—more than 16%—has come directly from Indian fan groups. The Bharat Army leads the charge, having secured over 2,400 tickets, while Fans India has purchased upwards of 1,400. Community enthusiasm is also being seen at the grassroots level. Amit Goyal of the Brissy Baniyas (Aggarwal community) holds the record for most tickets bought by an individual, with 880 seats for the Gabba T20I. Other groups such as the Indian Community of Gold Coast and Pakka Local have each secured more than 500 tickets for matches in both Gold Coast and Melbourne.

Joel Morrison, Executive General Manager of Events & Operations at Cricket Australia, described the interest as “overwhelming,” noting that the energy following last summer’s thrilling Border-Gavaskar series is carrying over.
“We’re delighted by the incredible response from fans, especially the Indian diaspora. Their passion and commitment guarantee another electrifying cricketing atmosphere across all venues,” Morrison said.
