The $600 million urban renewal project is a game-changer for the region, combining world-class education facilities, life sciences research, and innovative housing options. Helix Hub will feature a cutting-edge vertical university and life sciences building, designed to bridge the gap between health, education, research, and business. Its sustainable design and state-of-the-art infrastructure are set to make it a benchmark for smart, connected urban development in Australia.

University of Wollongong Expands Commitment
The University of Wollongong (UOW) has reinforced its investment in Liverpool’s future, securing an additional 11,300 sqm of space in Helix Hub. This is in addition to the 6,000 sqm UOW has already committed to occupying within Liverpool Civic Tower from 2026. UOW Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor G.Q. Max Lu, highlighted the significance of the campus during the sod-turning ceremony, stating:

“This is about giving students in South West Sydney access to world-class education where they live and work. Liverpool is one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions and we are proud to be part of its future. Our new campus will put students at the centre, strengthen our local social and economic impact, and create exciting opportunities through partnerships with the community that will help shape the region’s future.”
Applications for UOW’s Liverpool campus have surged, with a 134 per cent increase in completed applications compared to the same time last year, reflecting the growing demand for higher education in the region.
