Tracktouch, founded in 2012 by acclaimed filmmaker Dave Sidhu, proudly hosted the Australian premiere of Bhole Ki Bhool (Pilot) at Reading Cinemas Auburn in Sydney. Known as a respected creative voice within the Indian-Australian community, Sidhu continues to champion culturally grounded storytelling that resonates with audiences both locally and internationally.

Indian-Australian cinema is steadily gaining recognition, not just across Australia but within global diaspora communities. As viewers increasingly embrace stories rooted in culture and identity, the premiere of Bhole Ki Bhool reflects the rising appreciation for South Asian narratives and the expanding platform available to multicultural filmmakers.

The event drew a lively and diverse audience, including community leaders, media representatives and supporters of multicultural arts. Among the notable attendees were Councillor Suman Saha from Cumberland Council and Councillor Sameer Pandey from the City of Parramatta. Their presence underscored the strong civic encouragement for creative projects that celebrate cultural diversity, particularly within Western Sydney’s vibrant communities.

The screening featured the pilot episode of Bhole Ki Bhool, led by Dave Sidhu in the role of Pujari. The ensemble cast included Govind Namdev as Lord Shiva, Kangan Sharma as Sneha, Deepak Rai as Rajnikant, Mansee Sharma as Pushpa, Parul Lakhanpal as Pallavi Devi, Saritha Menon as the Boss’s Wife, Gagandeep Sandhu as the Transit Officer, Nikhil Khosla as the Restaurant Owner, and Tanima Banerjee as Office Staff. Together, the cast delivered performances that blended humour, emotion and depth, adding richness to the storytelling experience.

Beyond the screening, the premiere created space for meaningful interaction. Filmmakers, students and members of the community engaged in conversations about the creative vision behind the project and the importance of authentic representation in cinema. With Sydney home to a strong Indian and Punjabi presence, the event further strengthened cultural connections and encouraged collaboration within Australia’s evolving creative landscape.

Sharing his appreciation, Dave Sidhu expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support. He described the full house and warm community response as a reminder of the power of storytelling to connect and inspire. The positive reception highlights the growing demand for diverse cinematic voices in Australia and marks an important milestone for Tracktouch as Bhole Ki Bhool continues its journey with strong momentum.
