Sydney will host an evening of business, culture and cuisine as the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) celebrates its 40th anniversary at the Four Seasons Hotel on Friday, 16 October 2026.

The AIBC 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner & Australia–India Address NSW will bring together business leaders, government representatives, diplomats and members of the Australia–India community to celebrate four decades of connection and consider the opportunities ahead.

A highlight of the evening will be internationally acclaimed chef Sanjeev Kapoor, who will attend in person and present a specially curated menu for the milestone celebration. His participation will bring a distinctive culinary dimension to an event centred on strengthening connections between the two countries.

For 40 years, AIBC has worked to connect Australian and Indian businesses, supporting relationships, dialogue and opportunities across the bilateral business community. The Sydney celebration will recognise that contribution while looking towards the next chapter of trade, investment and collaboration.

Alongside the dining experience, the evening’s program will include a keynote address by Jessica Olivier, National Executive and Partner, Tax Advisory, at RSM Australia.

A panel discussion titled “Australia–India 2030: From Trade Agreement to Business Opportunity” will explore how the growing relationship can translate into practical partnerships and commercial opportunities. AIBC’s advertised line-up includes Ryan Neelam, Deepak-Raj Gupta OAM, Kala Philip and Lisa Sthalekar, with Dr Namita Gupta moderating the conversation.

The NSW Australia–India Address panel discussion is supported by the Centre for Australia–India Relations through its Maitri Grants Program.
