In his address, the Prime Minister emphasises that artificial intelligence represents a transformative shift comparable to historic breakthroughs such as electricity and the internet. A key theme of the speech is the idea that technology should serve people and remain accessible to all. Examples of digital public infrastructure initiatives and AI applications across sectors such as agriculture, accessibility, and multilingual services highlight how innovation can improve everyday lives while ensuring no one is left behind.

The address also introduces the MANAV framework for AI governance, which focuses on ethical systems, accountable governance, national sovereignty, accessibility, and legitimacy. The framework aims to anchor artificial intelligence development in human values while promoting transparency and trust in emerging technologies.

Concerns around trust and safety are also highlighted, particularly in relation to deepfakes and misinformation. The call for global standards around content authentication and watermarking reflects growing recognition of the need for safeguards as generative technologies continue to evolve rapidly across digital platforms.

The Prime Minister underscores the importance of open collaboration, noting that shared innovation can help young people contribute to building safer and more inclusive technologies. He emphasises that AI should evolve as a global common good, creating opportunities for new industries, professions, and economic growth across nations.
