The first anniversary celebration of Murugan Idli Shop Adelaide was a grand and memorable occasion, marking one year of serving authentic South Indian cuisine while fostering strong cultural connections within the community. The vibrant evening brought together an esteemed gathering of dignitaries, community leaders, and guests, reflecting the restaurant’s growing popularity and its role in Adelaide’s multicultural landscape.

The owners of Murugan Idli Adelaide , Sundar & Priya , welcomed the guests and thanked for the enormous support and love given by Adelaidians for Murugan brand and it’s flavours .



The celebration was graced by Minister for Multicultural Affairs and small businesses Nadia Clancy MP , Minister for Infrastructure & Transport Joe Szakacs MP, Tung Ngo MLC , Zoe Bettison MP , Brad Chilcott , chairperson SAMAC Louisa Greco, Councillor Senthil Chitambaranatham, Councillor Waseem Sayed , Celebrity Chef & MasterChef winner Sashi Cheliah , Councillor Quin Tran , PL Annadurai , Chris Antony , whose presence added prestige and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in promoting diversity and community engagement.

Adding a traditional and auspicious touch to the event, the celebrations commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolising positivity, prosperity, and new beginnings. The ceremony, conducted in the presence of distinguished guests, set a culturally rich tone for the evening.




Another major highlight was the official launch of the Murugan Idli mobile app, marking a significant step forward in enhancing customer convenience and digital engagement. The app aims to provide a seamless ordering experience while bringing the brand closer to its growing customer base in Adelaide and beyond.
