Kaya Disability Services continues to make a positive impact across South Australia by supporting people living with disability. The organisation focuses on creating opportunities that promote independence, social connection, and a strong sense of belonging.

This year, Kaya hosted a Community Beach BBQ Fundraiser at the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Set against a beautiful coastal backdrop, the event brought together participants, families, carers, volunteers, and community members for a day filled with connection, laughter, and shared experiences.

More than just a social event, the fundraiser highlighted the importance of community support. The funds raised will go towards programs that help individuals build life skills, stay socially active, and feel more connected within the community.

Kaya Disability Services also runs a range of ongoing initiatives, including community participation programs, culturally inclusive activities, and partnerships with local organisations. These efforts aim to create meaningful opportunities for personal growth and inclusion.

Under the leadership of Faheem Samejo, the organisation continues to stay true to its mission of empowering individuals. As he shared, the focus is not just on providing services, but on building connections and creating opportunities for everyone to thrive.
Through events like the Beach BBQ and its ongoing programs, Kaya Disability Services shows how strong community engagement can truly change lives, making inclusion a shared and meaningful experience.
